Savvy and Mandy Blog
Monday: Today Mandy and I went to school. I am in 9th grade and Mandy is in 7th. We both started new schools this year, because we just moved to Los Angeles over the summer. We used to live in Orange County but we needed to be closer to L.A for recording, auditions etc. Every Monday we take acting lessons after school. We have to drive about twenty minutes to get there, so Mandy and I usually ask my mom if we can stop for a snack on our way. Our favorite is In n Out Burgers! Our acting coach Larry is great, and we always have a lot of fun going over new scripts each week.
Tuesday: After school today, we went to a meeting at MTV studios. Our manager set up the meeting so that she could introduce us to them. Everyone was super nice and asked Savvy and I all kinds of questions about our music, acting and modeling. It was so funny because they asked Savvy if we ever argue about anything, and she had to be honest and told them that we fight about clothes (who's wearing what) all the time! In fact she was wearing my shirt that day!!!!
Thursday: Today we were in the studio recording a new song called "Stuck In Time". It's an amazing song with great lyrics. We can't wait to hear how it comes out. It usually takes five or more hours to record a song, so when one of us is recording the other one works on homework or plays on the computer. Mandy and I love to go talk to our fans. We feel so lucky to have such great support from everyone. It makes us feel like you are right there with us as we go through everything! Thank you, we love you guys!
Friday: Yay it's almost the weekend! Every Friday Savvy and I have dance lessons after school. Savvy takes hip hop and I take jazz. It's really fun, but our teacher works us out hard! I am usually sore for a couple of days afterward! Tonight is Savvy's school's big football game. They are playing against their cross town rival, so it's a big deal. My best friend Ari is coming over to spend the night tonight. We have so much fun together cuz she's a totally crazy like me. We love to make videos, do each others makeup and watch our favorite shows on the Disney channel!
Sunday: Our weekends are always so fun, because we do things with our family. Today we woke up late; our parents surprised us and took us out to brunch. We went to one of our favorite restaurants and they had this HUGE buffet! Mandy and I completely pigged out, but it was so yummy! After brunch we went to the beach. It was so hot out today that it felt so good to play in the water. Mandy and I are trying to learn to boogie board, but we're not too good at it yet. OMG there was the cutest lifeguard ever! Mandy and I couldn't stop looking at him, hahaha!
Tuesday: Today Savvy and I both had auditions to go to. My mom took Savvy to hers and my dad had to take me to mine because they were totally across town from each other. We just got the scripts last night, so we didn't have a lot of time to memorize them with homework and everything. When we got home, Mandy had her weekly guitar lesson. It's pretty cool though, cuz her teacher comes right to the house! They gave us the coolest guitars last week. Mine is a purple glitter acoustic, and Mandy's is a pink and purple electric. We totally LOVE them, they are so girly !!!
Wednesday: Back in the recording studio again! Today we are recorded a song called "Long Way Down" that was written by the songwriter who wrote a song for Hannah Montana . It's a really good song that girls will totally relate to. We ended up working late and didn't get home until 10:00pm. We are so tired and we have school in the morning, so it's off to bed !
Friday: We just finished our dance classes, so now it's time to hang out with our friends! Mandy and her friends are going to the mall and then to the movies. We both love to shop, and we wear the same size, so hopefully she'll buy something cute for us! Tonight, my friend Jasmine and I are going to our other friend's birthday party. She is having a live band, dancing and karaoke so it should be totally fun!
Saturday: Today we had to do a photo shoot to update our headshots. We went to several locations and took turns in front of the camera. The shoot only lasted a couple of hours, so that left the rest of the day to have fun. My mom and dad took us out to lunch and then we went to this arcade and played a bunch of games. Tonight we practiced our concert set at home, then made popcorn and watched Transformers. It was a fun day!
Sunday: We have had a busy week , so we decided to hang out in our P.J's today. We both slept in, then went on the computer to talk to some of friends and fans. We are so excited to tell them that our music is on Radio Disney. Hopefully everyone will request our songs so they get played a lot.
