- The Jonas Brothers grew up in Wyckoff, NJ, with their two musician parents. Gathering around the family piano was a regular family activity in the Jonas household.
- The oldest Jonas Brother, Kevin, started learning to play the guitar while sick at home one day. He found a guitar and a "Teach Yourself Guitar" book around the house and spent the next three days mastering the basic chords.
- Nicholas and Joseph share lead vocals for the band.
- Nicholas has been singing since he was two years old and was discovered while singing during a haircut at a local barbershop.
- Joseph originally wanted to be a comedian.
- Nicholas performed in Broadway hits like Beauty and the Beast and Les Miserables. Nicholas' performances inspired Joseph to land his own role in Baz Luhrman's La Boheme.
- The Jonas Brothers broke into the music business when Columbia Records heard about Nicholas' incredible voice and wanted to sign him as a solo artist. However, when they heard he had musically talented brothers, they were signed as a band.
- Nicholas says it's their older brother, Kevin, who holds the band together. "Kevin rocks out on the guitar and that's the part of the group that we need-he's the glue that keeps it together," he says
- A lot of the inspiration from their album, It's about Time, comes from the brothers' personal experiences-everything from the highs and lows of dating to being on the road to having the opportunity to follow their dreams at a young age.
- The brothers are enjoying their time on the road, sharing their music and making new fans in every city they stop in. "It's very gratifying when fans come up to us after shows and tell us how much they relate to our songs," says Joseph.
