ASHLEY TISDALE - "Sharpay Evans"

  • Ashley Tisdale stars as ostentatious Sharpay Evans, the president of the Drama Club and a shoo-in as lead in the school theatre production, who makes it known she's not pleased when the basketball star and decathlon whiz audition for the leads in the upcoming musical, in the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical.


  • Ashley, along with her co-stars, was selected as one of Teen People's "25 Under 25", Teen Vogue's "Young Hollywood Stars" and as part of Entertainment Weekly's annual "Must List" as "Must 'Musical' Prodigies."


  • She joins her co-stars Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel, Monique Coleman and Vanessa Hudgens on a 40-city "High School Musical: The Concert" tour.


  • Ashley is well-known as Maddie, the candy counter clerk at The Tipton hotel, on Disney Channel's hit series "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody."

CORBIN BLEU - "Chad Danforth"
  • Corbin Bleu co-stars as Chad Danforth, Troy's best friend & basketball buddy, who lives, eats and breathes basketball and can't understand why Troy would want to do anything else - especially a role in the school musical..

LUCAS GRABEEL - "Ryan Evans"

  • Lucas Grabeel co-stars as Ryan Evans, Sharpay's twin brother and lead in all the school theatre productions.


  • He was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri, and attended the same high school as actor Brad Pitt (although not at the same time).


  • Lucas celebrates his birthday on November 23.


  • He joins his co-stars Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman and Vanessa Hudgens on a 40-city "High School Musical: The Concert" tour.

MONIQUE COLEMAN - "Taylor McKessie"

  • Monique Coleman co-stars as Taylor McKessie, the president of the decathlon team who befriends Gabriella and instructs her on the social clique rules.


  • Monique celebrates her birthday on November 13.


  • She is a native of Columbia, South Carolina.


  • Monique, along with her co-stars, was selected as one of Teen People's "25 Under 25" and Teen Vogue's "Young Hollywood Stars."


  • She joins her co-stars Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel and Vanessa Hudgens on a 40-city "High School Musical: The Concert" tour.


  • Before moving to Los Angeles, Monique lived and acted in Chicago.


  • At age 6, she enrolled in dance and piano classes to find an outlet for her energy. By the time she turned 11-years-old, she had performed in more than 15 plays.


  • On stage in Chicago, Monique starred in productions of Noises Off, Polaroid Stories, The Real Thing and The Colored Museum.

  • In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends, shopping and learning new dances to add to her repertoire of jazz, hip-hop and modern dance.

VANESSA HUDGENS - "Gabriella Montez"

  • Vanessa Hudgens stars as newly transferred student and decathlon whiz Gabriella Montez, who finds herself drawn to both basketball jock Troy Bolton and the school musical auditions.


  • In August, Vanessa and her co-star, Zac Efron, won a Teen Choice Award for "Choice TV Chemistry" and she was nominated as "Best Actress" for the 21st Annual Imagen Awards 2006.


  • Vanessa, along with her co-stars, was selected as one of Teen People's "25 Under 25", Teen Vogue's "Young Hollywood Stars" and as part of Entertainment Weekly's annual "Must List" as "Must 'Musical' Prodigies."


  • She joins her co-stars Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel and Monique Coleman on a 40-city "High School Musical: The Concert" tour.

ZAC EFRON - "Troy Bolton"

  • Zac Efron stars as Troy Bolton, the head of the basketball team, who decides to break out of his social circle and audition for the school musical - to the horror of his jock friends.

  • He was born in San Luis Obispo and raised nearby in Arroyo Grande.


  • Zac currently lives in Los Angeles with his parents and younger brother Dylan, as well as two Australian Shepherds, Dreamer and Puppy, and a Siamese cat named Simon.


  • In August, Zac won two Teen Choice Awards -- in the "Choice TV Breakout Star" category and the "TV Chemistry" category with his co-star Vanessa Anne Hudgens, while "High School Musical" won for "Choice Musical".

  • Zac is also working to fix up two cars, a Delorean and '65 Mustang Convertible, both treasured hand-me-downs from his grandfather.
